# Claude

Claude can read your fivebar stats over MCP, and answer questions about them.

Ask it about your sites in your own words, such as why traffic jumped on Tuesday, and it answers from your figures, following fivebar’s rules about what they mean. Connecting is adding fivebar’s address, signing in and choosing Allow, with no key to copy.

## Before you start

Any Claude plan: Free, Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise. A Free account can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds fivebar for the organisation, and each member then connects it for themselves.

## Add fivebar

To add fivebar from a link, open [Add fivebar to Claude](https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=fivebar&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Ffiveb.ar%2Fapi%2Fmcp), which fills in the name and address for you, and choose **Add**. Or add it yourself:

1. In Claude, open **Customize**, then **Connectors**.
2. Choose **+**, then **Add custom connector**.
3. Name it fivebar, give it the address `https://fiveb.ar/api/mcp`, and choose **Add**. Leave **Advanced settings** empty: fivebar needs no client ID or secret.

On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it instead, from **Organization settings**, **Connectors**, **Add**, **Custom**, then **Web**, or from [Add fivebar for your organisation](https://claude.ai/admin-settings/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=fivebar&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Ffiveb.ar%2Fapi%2Fmcp).

Choose **Connect** beside fivebar in **Customize**, **Connectors**.

fivebar opens in your browser. Sign in if you need to, check that the page names Claude, and choose Allow. Claude can then [read the stats](https://fiveb.ar/docs/mcp.md#what-an-app-can-read) of every site on your Sites page, and changes nothing of yours unless you also tick the box to let it [change settings](https://fiveb.ar/docs/mcp.md#changing-settings).

## Try it

In a conversation, choose **+** at the lower left, then **Connectors**, and switch fivebar on. Its [ready-made questions](https://fiveb.ar/docs/mcp.md#ready-made-questions) are there too, under fivebar.

Ask Claude about your sites in your own words, such as:

- Which pages did best last week, and where did their visitors come from?
- How does this month compare with last month so far?
- How many people are on my site right now?

## Removing it

Remove fivebar in **Customize**, **Connectors**.

To stop Claude reading your stats from fivebar’s side, disconnect it in [Settings](https://fiveb.ar/settings).

## Good to know

- Connected once, fivebar works in Claude on the web, in the desktop app and in the mobile apps, the next time you sign in to them.
- Under **Customize**, **Connectors**, each of fivebar’s tools can be set to be always allowed, or to ask each time. Leave `send_feedback`, and any tool that [changes settings](https://fiveb.ar/docs/mcp.md#changing-settings), to ask, so you see each note and change before Claude makes it.
- Signed in to [Claude Code](https://fiveb.ar/docs/mcp/claude-code.md) with the same account, fivebar is there too.
