# Sites

Your sites are listed on the Sites page, and each has settings of its own behind the cog beside its name.

Three settings are worth a look once a site is counting: its time zone, so its days match yours; excluded traffic, so your own visits stay out; and email reports, so its figures come to you each week or month.

## Adding a site

On [Sites](https://fiveb.ar/sites), type the site’s domain under Add a site. A site is one domain and all its subdomains, and a domain someone else has already added can’t be added again. [Getting started](https://fiveb.ar/docs/install.md) walks through adding one and putting its tag on your pages.

A domain in a script of its own, such as κουνησε.gr, is shown as you write it. Its dashboard’s address and its tag name it as DNS does, in punycode: `xn--qxadimj0al.gr`. A domain that mixes scripts so that it could pass for another, such as a Cyrillic а in apple.com, is shown in punycode too.

Your account holds up to 1,024 sites. If you need more, email [mail@fiveb.ar](mailto:mail@fiveb.ar).

## The site list

Each site is listed with its pageviews day by day over the last 28 days, and its visitors and pageviews over the last 7. Click a site for its dashboard, or the cog beside it for its settings. Sites in groups are listed under each group’s name, after those in none.

## Switching between sites

On a site’s dashboard, click its name at the top for your sites, each with its icon, grouped as on Sites. Choose one to open its dashboard, or All sites at the bottom for the site list. The fivebar logo at the top left goes to the site list too.

## A site’s settings

The cog beside a site’s name on Sites, or **Settings** on its dashboard (the cog beside its name until anything is counted), opens its settings. They are, in order:

### Tracking code

The site’s tag, ready to paste into the `<head>` of every page, and a link to [Script attributes](https://fiveb.ar/docs/script-attributes.md) for what else the tag can take.

### Time zone

Which day and hour a visit is counted in. A site’s days start at midnight in its time zone, and so do its dashboard’s today, ranges and chart. A new site starts in the time zone your account’s [Settings](https://fiveb.ar/settings) choose for new sites, UTC until you pick another, and changing that changes no site already added.

A change shows on the dashboard at once, and counting follows within a few minutes. Days already counted keep the day they were counted in: a change moves nothing counted before it. On the day of a change, visitors already counted that day can be counted once more.

### Group

Which group the site is listed in on Sites. Choose one of your groups, or type a name to make a new one and move the site into it. A name can be up to 50 characters, and typing the name of a group you already have, in any case, moves the site into that one. A group goes when its last site leaves it. None puts the site back among the sites in no group.

### Public stats

Make the stats public and anyone can see the site’s dashboard and read its stats without signing in. The settings stay yours. See [Public stats](https://fiveb.ar/docs/public-stats.md).

### Email reports

Two switches, weekly and monthly, each off until you turn it on. The site’s figures then come to you by email at 9am in its time zone, the morning after the week or the month ends. See [Email reports](https://fiveb.ar/docs/email-reports.md).

### Goals

The site’s goals, with a button to hide or show each, and a box to add a page goal. See [Goals](https://fiveb.ar/docs/goals.md#page-goals).

### Site search

The site’s search rules, each its search pages and the parameter in their address holding the search, with a button to remove each and boxes to add one. See [Site search](https://fiveb.ar/docs/site-search.md).

### Excluded traffic

The addresses, networks and countries whose visits the site doesn’t count, such as your own, with a button to remove each and a box to add each kind. See [Excluding traffic](https://fiveb.ar/docs/excluding-traffic.md).

### Deleting a site

Type the site’s domain to confirm, and the site goes with everything counted for it: its dashboard, stats, goals, search rules and exclusions. The tag on your pages stops being counted. It can’t be undone, and adding the domain again starts a new site with nothing counted.
